On a bright and breezy summer’s day in the middle of August, the Roo’s Beach team ventured over to Truro, Cornwall’s capital city, to shoot the Autumn 2019 lookbook. Here’s some behind the scenes snaps we took of Silvia our gorgeous model, who loved the new collection of chunky knits, soft faux-fur jackets and thick corduroy trousers. 
       
   
Choosing a city scene for the backdrop was a no-brainer, as Truro’s hidden streets, old architecture and forgotten nooks and crannies offered interesting variety for our trusty photographer Adj. This street setting for the photoshoot also worked well with the new collection which has a modern retro vibe. 
   
   
Of course Roo, as you’d expect, chose many styles for the Autumn 2019 collection that featured leopard print - hands down her favourite print to wear all year round. Hints of the wild side venture into our lookbook from brands Hartford, Leon & Harper, Bellerose and Free People, mostly styled alongside Roo’s favourite colour - pink, in garments from American Vintage and Mads Nørgaard.
   
    
As we are still in the grips of summer, experiencing a few hot and sunny days here and there, not all of our new offerings are thick and heavy for colder times. Our transitional style made it onto the front and back cover of the lookbook with the absolutely gorgeous 'Feeling Groovy Maxi Dress by Free People. A true floaty, retro floral dress that comes in two colour ways, and can be worn with trainers and a jumper or your favourite cardi on colder days.
   
    
We also highlighted the ‘Woodstock Rain Jacket’ from Insane In The Rain on the back cover, the perfect all-weather light coverup featuring a 70's floral pattern and crafted from 17 to 23 recycled single use plastic bottles. Flower power a go-go!
