Go Wild! Embracing Leopard Print + Pink
We are all about pattern and colour here at Roo's Beach, in particular Leopard print and pink. We literally go barmy for them and believe they should most definitely make it into everyone's wardrobes, even if it's just an accessory to lift an outfit. Thankfully leopard is a key pattern for AW19 alongside the faux-fur texture, and designs using these were spotted all over the runways last year when the season was showcased in London, Paris and Milan. Here’s the low-down from Roo on her favourite bubblegum pinks and wild prints...
Roo - “I always associate pink with summer, it goes so well with a fresh, sun-kissed face and pale denim. However, I’m beginning to take a shine to the plethora of pink around this autumn. It’s actually really fresh and exciting to ditch grey and black and opt instead for a bubblegum pink. Not a colour that people will expect to see you out and about in at this time of year, so it feels somewhat daring yet exciting. We have a simply gorgeous oversized waffle knit from American Vintage called the Candy Vapcloud Jumper, it’s got a deep V, is one size and feels absolutely delicious to throw on. I can imagine on a grey day I’ll be simply longing to flounce around in pink, maybe you should give it a try too?”

Roo - “Pink is the perfect partner to browns, rusty reds, warm ochres and it has a love affair with khaki green. It’s actually a ridiculously versatile colour and should be worn more widely by everyone. Unfortunately it’s gotten a bad reputation and been over used by Disney, meaning many women have to re-introduce themselves to pink later in life. Try baby steps to start with, such as footwear and accessories. We love the Saucony Jazz Vintage Trainers in rose pink, and the Dalia Fluro Pink Leather Belt by Bellerose. Have a go and I promise it’ll surprise you!”
Roo - “I know it seems unbelievable, but Leopard print is still a thing, and for those of you who know me well will have heard of my almost unhealthy love of leopard print. It would seem that I couldn’t possibly have any room left in my wardrobe for another piece of it, and yet of course I do! And this print pairs perfectly with pink!
Hartford, a considered, rather grown up French brand that we love has a gorgeous subtle take on Leopard print for AW19. The Leopard Print Jolene Skirt is a classic, as well as the Beige Leopard Print Charlot Shirt and we are absolutely head over heels for the timeless silhouette of the Leopard Green Rebecca Dress with its soft, flowing fabric and just the most subtle leopard print that I’ve ever seen. This is for those of you who haven’t yet dared to dip your toes in the water, or for those of you who like me have a wardrobe full of Leopard print, that this new one will almost pass as neutral.”

Roo - "Feeling the cold already? We've all fallen for the faux-fur jackets and coats popping up in the shop. That's right ladies, we are introducing the leopard print madness into warm, cosy luxe styles that you'll never want to take off! Depending on your style and colour preference, we have the short Hoffman Jacket in cream or the long Hanks Coat in natural leopard print - both from Bellerose."
