Roo's Beach Summer Party
Every summer we do this, and last night was my favourite one yet. Thanks to my amazing team, the Roo’s Beach Summer party was another evening of gorgeous people, drinks, music and fun!
Ian was in charge of sizzling the sausages while my favourite musician, the awesome Disco Billy served up some rather fabulous funky disco tunes.
All day we had thick sea mist and then just as we lit the BBQ the sun came out - what a relief as we didn’t have a Plan B! Al fresco dining, live music and a sun set, how lucky are we to live and work by the sea.
And don't even get me started on the Rhubarb Fizz. Give it a go. You'll thank me for it. It's now my summer drink of choice...
If you fancy making The Laid-back Coffee Co's delicious cocktail at home, you will need:
50ml dry vermouth
Splash of grenadine
Cawston Press' Sparkling Rhubarb
Lemon and cucumber to garnish
1. Pop some ice, a couple of basil leaves and 25ml of gin into a glass and muddle together.
2. Add the 50ml of dry vermouth
3. Top it up with a bit of the Cawston Press Sparkling Rhubarb drink
4. Finish it off with a splash of grenadine and a lemon and cucumber garnish - et voilà!
So - that's it. We're off. The silly season starts now and we're excited for another summer of fun and sunshine. Bring it on!
