Roo's Beach 2019 Fashion Feast collection
A week since our fabulous Fashion Feast, we just couldn't wait to share with you how we are styling our our Spring / Summer 19 collection.

For those of you who couldn't get a ticket to this sold out event, here Roo shares with us her favourite pieces from each category of the show.

We need to deal with rain in UK and never before has there been a more exciting rainwear company than IITR, they’re just about to release their second collection and they truly are Insane In The Rain, 100% waterproof, made from recycled bottles and utterly gorgeous, Hippy Rainbow is my favourite but it’s a close call!

Lydia wears: Insane In The Rain Gypsy Sun Jacket £100 (available in store from April 2019) with Bellerose Lotan Milky Way Trousers.

We’re loving the plethora of floral skirts and graphic print dresses this season, our natural habitat is to pair these with a chunky knit, an oversized cardi or a slouchy, off the shoulder jumper. Complete the look with a pair of trainers or classic white pumps - so feminine and effortless, so modern and cool.

Sylvia wears: Bellerose Sorya Dress, American Vintage Vacaville Black Cardigan with Veja Wata Canvas White Dried Petal Trainers and Stance Swan For Me Black Tomboy Socks. Glasses (Model’s Own).

Consuming so many of our waking hours, make workwear fun, relaxed and comfortable and what better way to do this than with a perfect Wildfox Tee this reminds me of my sales days at Virgin Radio, we always had a ‘Champagneover’!!!

Lydia wears: Bellerose Lotan Milky Way Trousers, Wildfox Champagneover Vanilla Quartz Tee with Free People Simply Plaid Pomegranate Combo Blazer £138.

The rise of the boiler suit has taken SS19 by storm, they are everywhere and I really believe this is the best, LF Markey, a new brand to us and properly launching for AW19, however we managed to get a few of these fantastic Danny boiler suits just to wet the appetite, they’re simply amazing and bring out your inner Charlie’s Angel!

Toria wears: LF Marky Danny Mid Blue Denim Boilersuit with Black Colour Rosie Polka Dot Yellow Bandana.

SO 90’s
Do you remember the days of the Spice Girls, Blue, neon everything, scrunchies and Nike Air, well they’re all back for SS19, we’ve taken a slightly more mature approach to this iconic decade and Wildfox just has to be worn, these tracks are such a good colour combination and perfect with an oversized, slouchy tee and a pop of bling silver, so nostalgic and ridiculously comfy.

Sylvia wears: Wildfox Mellow Stripe Quartz Bottoms with Free People Catch Waves Black Tee and Penelope Chilvers Jude Metallic Silver Sandals. Mads Nørgaard Bum Bag (Model’s Own).

To celebrate the fabulous Free People we gave them their own category, for me this outfit epitomises the Free People mantra which is "to design clothes which encourage femininity, courage and spirit".

Sylvia wears: Free People Music Of The Night Blue Floral Dress, Levi’s 501 Long Highways & Byways Denim Shorts with Free People Paradise Raspberry Spring Break Top and Birkenstock Arizona Taupe Suede Narrow Sandals.

American Vintage had a total of 12 outfits in the show, the breadth of it’s collection always a surprise for people, however we still love their knitwear and soft jersey pieces the most, this bright yellow slightly off the shoulder jumper is going to be a winner as is this gorgeous coral long flowy skirt with a cropped sweatshirt - so simple and yet so good, the perfect building blocks for every wardrobe which is why they are such a key brand at Roo’s Beach.

Sylvia wears: American Vintage Canari Jumper with American Vintage Bleach Blue Mini Skirt and Birkenstock Arizona White Narrow Sandals.

We believe that we have a certain way of dressing down here in Cornwall, there’s a wonderful freedom of thought, an individualism and eccentricity which all contribute to a certain style which we’d like to call the ‘Cornish Style’.

Fashion should be fun, frivolous and  it should slightly challenge you.  I look at my team and how they put outfits together , they’re so good at it,  I know that our customers are influenced and gently encouraged out of their comfort zones by them, they inspire me daily this category was inspired by them.

I love all of the outfits and they will be the foundation of my Spring look, I can’t choose between them and stock permitting I’ll be having one of each!

Toria wears: Wildfox Road Trip Sorbet Stripe Jumper, Levi’s 501 High Rise Weak At The Knees Shorts, Big Metal London Chloe Tortoise Hex Hoop Earrings, Le Bonnet Acid Yellow Beanie Hat with Clarks Originals Coral Suede Weaver Shoes and Black Colour Lurex Petrol Green Glitter Socks.

Sylvia wears: Ottod’Ame Bianco White Dungarees with Mads Nørgaard Teasy Light Pink Jersey Dip T-Shirt, Birkenstock Arizona Gunmetal Suede Narrow Sandals, Big Metal London Charlotte Marbled Hoop Earrings and Nixon Re Run Matte Petal
