Lyndsey & Mike

Two Newquay legends, Mike and Lyndsey, run the award winning Escape Surf School in Newquay. Originally from South Africa, Mike has endless energy and with over 35 years surfing experience, as well as 20 years coaching experience, he is one of the best surf coaches around.

Helping Mike run the Escape Surf School Lyndsey is also one of the Roo’s Beach team, helping us out with her amazing digital marketing knowledge.

Lyndsey tucked the Bellerose Awards Leopard Print Blouse into the Levi's Made & Crafted Column Bespoke Blue Jeans paired with the American Vintage Hot Pink Damsville Jumper and Birkenstock Arizona Mink Shearling Sandals.

Mike layered the Albam Men's Long Sleeve Bright Orange Workwear T-Shirt underneath the Stan Ray Men's Purple Cord CPO Shirt, alongside the Levi's Vintage LVC 1955 Rigid Dark Indigo 501 Mens Jeans.

Jamie & Mel

Jamie is the legendary owner of the incredible brand Dick Pearce & Friends who create handcrafted wooden bellyboards, made to last and made to be loved. This year Jamie launched a new scheme, Surf Wood for Good, which allows people to hire a board free of charge from a number of beachside locations across the UK (Roo’s Beach being on the list!) This scheme aims to decrease the use of polystyrene bodyboards and in turn, stop the mass waste of plastic that occurs up and down the coast, year in, year out. A sustainable alternative which happens to be much more stylish and way more fun!

Mel also runs melonmade, working on branding, web design and photography for Creative Businesses. Alongside many other clients, Mel does the branding for Dick Pearce & Friends - undoubtably a contributor to its success! On top of all of this, Mel and Jamie also look after their two boys who we think are just utterly delicious!!
