Gorse Bakery

We were first introduced to Gorse through Nat’s sister Connie who was working in our coffee shop at the time. Back then the pair were baking loaves of sourdough in their flat, they've since taken Newquay by storm with their standout bakery, Gorse. Meanwhile, we still eagerly await every delivery of delicious pastel de nata’s. John & Mathilda

Self described ‘gothsters’ John & Mathilda, with their 3 children Axel, Rasmus & Dusty in tow. The couple are redefining roadside dining with their cafe Strong Adolfos, described as “essentially a roadside cafe, but effectively much more”.

With a similar stance on style, there’s rarely a colour seen but the pair never blend into the background, quite the opposite; they’re local icons for their bold look that takes influence from skate and motorcycle subcultures. Perhaps more paired back than other groups in this years campaign, John & Mathilda wear understated pieces, with big impact.

The 'Boyz in the Wood' - Gaz, Big Tom, Ray and Lee - our mighty crew of local carpenters. Always on hand for repairs and new additions, we have them to thank for our amazing shop interior, coffee hut, and plant shed. They've got it all; talent, creativity, strength, looks and now they can add modelling to their portfolio. It was a no brainer to dress Boyz in the Wood in Stan Ray the Texas born work wear brand, completing their looks with Blundstone boots.

Wavehunters

Last but by no means least, new neighbours over on Watergate Bay, Wavehunters. Founder and ex-pro surfer, Andy joined by Ollie, Holly, Harvey & Amy. To be honest, these guys just got roped in because we really wanted one of our favourite shop dogs, Lentil in the shoot. But along with her mate Shrimpy, Lentil ended up bringing along a pretty good crew. 

Our new neighbours are aptly styled in some of our favourite new brands to arrive in store over the past year or two; including bright colours and textures from YMC and Universal Works, and new denim from Edwin.
